Indian Handicrafts - An Introduction

Indian Handicrafts - An Introduction -(sourced from http://www.indianhandicraftexporters.com/)
A walk through the time-honored gallery of Indian handicrafts showcases the cultural brilliance and munificence of the nation. Emblematic of a country that is a melting pot of diverse communities, customs, tribes, traditions, festivals and languages, the lineage of Indian handicraft dates back to antiquity and captures a rich blend of functionality with artistic ingenuity. Infusing prolific designs on timeless substrates like textiles, stone, metal, papier mache, glass, grass, wood, cane, bamboo, clay, terracotta and ceramics, they beautifully articulate the artistic mastery and excellence of Indian craftspersons who have inherited, preserved and honed this ancient skill throughout the ages. Today, globally extolled for their dynamic combination of form, design and color, Indian handicrafts enjoy a large export market, especially in places like Saudi Arabia, U.S.A. Japan, U.K, Germany, Canada, Italy, France, to name a few.

As a gift for someone special...

Buy handicrafts online from http://www.art-n-craft.skp.net until something catches your eye. You might find some rare items that you would not be able to find anywhere else.

You can seek out these rare items for yourself as collectibles or as gifts for the special people in your life. You know that you could give a gift that could be purchased anywhere, but a gift that is harder to come by shows the effort that you put into that gift. It shows that you put time and effort into it and that you wanted it to be special.
You can come across something that you never knew about before that end up making the perfect gifts. Sometimes you don't know what you're looking for until you see it.

My Recent Best Out of Waste Item - Wall Hanging Picture of Lord Ganesh

I love creating something or the other for relaxation, fun and mind change especially when I have had enough of website development work in last few months. Being my first priority I am always occupied with my projects at SKP Techno Media, so inbetween projects I am always up with something crafty! I enjoy making something creativite for home decoration or as a gift to someone.

Then as a webdeveloper, I thought of making a website for talented artists and craftsmen...SKP art-n-craft   more about it, I will post later.

Recently I made a Lord Ganesh Wall Hanging. I wanted to make something different this time. And I came up of an Idea to use small Ganesh Pictures to make a big one. It took lot of thought into making it and took good enough time. It ultimately turned out good and unique.

Attaching its picture.
